Social Media Official Account Operation Guidelines
The company has established and complies with the following guidelines for the operation of the official social media accounts possessed by the company.

1. Basic policy
    When utilizing social media, we shall comply with all laws and ordinances, the AEON Basic Principles and the Aeon Code of Conduct, act in an appropriate manner as a member of society by following sound corporate ethics based on common sense and aim to promote communication between us and our customers and stakeholders.

(Purpose of participating in social media)
    We aim to become a corporation that can be trusted and become more familiar to our customers through the use of social media.

(Frame of mind upon participating in social media)
  We will engage in conversations with a moderate attitude as a responsible participant, after understanding that one of the important features of social media is that “readers of the media are simultaneously qualified as information transmitters, that they can freely transmit information to other users under their own responsibility and that the information will be widely open to the public.”

  • We will transmit information with appropriate content, expressions and methods so as not to transmit uncertain or erroneous information or provide false impressions. If erroneous content or content that may provide false impressions are posted by accident, we will swiftly offer an apology and correct the situation.
  • We will abide by each of the social media provisions and respect the culture and manners of the community.
  • We will never infringe on others’ rights. In addition to protecting intellectual property rights such as copyrights, we will respect the priority of user rights such as privacy and comply accordingly.

  • Guide and request to all users
      “Official announcements made by AEON Thana Sinsap (Thailand) Public Company Limited (“AEONTS” or “we”) are posted on the corporate website https://www.aeon.co.th/ (news release, etc.) when necessary. Please be aware that information posted on social media may be subsequently modified. Also, please be aware that accounts impersonating the official AEONTS social media accounts or its employees may exist.”

         1. The copyrights and other rights for any content, including posts, comments, pictures and videos distributed from the official social media accounts, will be vested in the official account and rightful persons acknowledged by the official account.

         2. The views of posts or comments transmitted from the official social media accounts may differ from the official views of the company.
         3. Please be aware that comments, profile pictures and other information posted on the official social media accounts may be cited at no charge by the official social media accounts or official Aeon website without obtaining the consent of the user (including accompanying processing, excerpts, duplication, disclosure and translation). However, this excludes cases relating to intellectual property rights such as copyrights and privacy rights.

         The official social media account is a communication space for everyone. Comments that fall under, or likely fall under any of the following items may be deleted without notice.
         1. Comments containing false or erroneous content.
         2. Comments that are clearly practical jokes or do not make sense linguistically such as empty comments, string of meaningless characters or multiple posts of the same content.
         3. Comments containing personal information (but not including those that are automatically displayed by the social media function) such as full name, email address, home address, telephone number, etc.
         4. Comments that infringe on, or likely infringe on the company’s or a third party’s intellectual property rights, property rights, trade secrets, privacy and other rights or benefits.
         5. Comments that slander, defame or break the trust, or likely slander, defame or break the trust of our company or a third party.
         6. Comments relating to sales, political or religious activities.
         7. Comments masquerading as our company or a third party.
         8. Comments that contain harmful programs such as computer viruses that can destroy or cause a malfunction to the company or social media system.
         9. Comments which are, or are likely contrary to public order or to accepted principles of morality.
         10. Comments that are in violation, or are likely in violation of laws and regulations.
         11. Comments that correspond to dishonest acts stipulated by each social media outlet.
         12. Comments that may hinder the operation of the official account or are deemed as

  • Handling intellectual property rights with the official social media accounts
         The information posted on the official social media accounts is protected by the copyright acts of each country, various treaties and other laws. Use of this information (including duplicating, modifying, posting, transmitting, distributing, licensing, selling and publishing) beyond the scope of personal use or what is explicitly permitted by the law or covered by the social media functions is prohibited without the advance written consent of the company.

  • Disclaimer on official social media accounts
         We shall not bear any responsibility for the following specified matters in the company’s official social media accounts.
         1. Any damage caused by the user using, or not being able to use the official social media accounts.
         2. Any problem that may occur from the content of the post (comment, photo, video, etc.) by a user.
         3. If any problem occurs between users or between a user and a third party regarding the official social media accounts.
         The official social media accounts are operated by each social media outlet. We cannot answer any questions regarding the operation status of each social media outlet.
         We also cannot answer any questions regarding the functions, usage method or technical inquiries related to the social media websites and software or application functions provided by third parties.

  • Operation
        We use our official social media accounts as a place to transmit information. Please be aware that we generally cannot promise that we will respond to your comments.

    • Participating in campaigns
          Users are responsible for all fees associated with participation in campaigns.

    • Changes to the guidelines
          The guidelines may be modified or revised without advance notice.
